Please see the below schedule of training.  If you are keen to do our training:

email us on info@wombs.org.za including which Province you reside in and share a brief history of your mothering journey, together with the ages of your children, or you can complete the online application on https://www.wombs.org.za/course-facilitation/

Your email will then be forwarded to the trainer in your Province, and once they have made contact with you with the information relevant to the course in that Province and you have been accepted, you will need to pay the deposit required to secure your spot.  This is essential as there is a limited space in each training, and our classes are very popular.  To see more information on the course content https://www.wombs.org.za/doula-training/course-content/

Please be aware that this is an intense course both theoretically and practically. Please ensure you have sufficient time to devote to the course requirements for the full 6 months of the course. Note that practicals will most likely be done during the week, so you will need to be able to take time off from work.

Pregnant women and mothers with babies under 6 months are required to wait until their baby is at least over 2 years old. We are strong supporters of peaceful, non-traumatic pregnancies and that infants need to be with their mothers in the early years of attachment.

Please embark on this course knowing that becoming a private doula and earning an acceptable stand-alone income takes a huge amount of time, huge amounts of effort and slow progress. Being a busy doula means that you will almost certainly miss special occasions from time to time. This work is not always easy, and being a doula is very demanding.  Please do not resign from your paid employment until you are established as a doula.

Note that there will be additional expenses when doing the course, which will be explained once you apply and are accepted.

Kindly note that once a course is underway, we don’t accept any late bookings.  You will need to book for the next workshop.
