I have already trained with another institution, can I join WOMBS?
Unfortunately we are currently not accepting Doulas who have trained with other organizations to automatically become WOMBS members (local or international). If you have trained as a Doula in another country, it is advisable to repeat your training locally in order to understand the dynamics of maternity care here. The way in which health systems operate is vastly different from country to country and so repeating your training will be of great benefit learning the intricacies of the local health system. The only way to become registered with WOMBS, at present, is to complete one of our training courses. WOMBS is now offering a bridging course to individuals who have trained with other organizations following a screening process.  If you are interested please find the application form here:  Application for Bridging Course
